I don't see why any of the skills would be confusing considering the fact that I can just read the description. If a skill ever did get me confused I'd feel silly.

I was just about to say the same thing.

I guess our public school systems have failed us all.

I couldnt understand the hype about Shield of Absorption for quite a while after it came out.. Spent forever trying to explain to a guildie that it really really wasn't a good idea to use it for 55ing. Until someone told me about the cumulative thingie.. Doh!

Oh come now, tell me this isn't a little confusing:

I mean, not simply confusing to read, but confusing to figure out when this would amount to good energy management, and when it would just be detrimental to you.

2nd Grade? What is that... Year 2? Eight year olds? Government mandated reading systems seem to have failed, so I'm not surprised. Besides, when you're younger, reading isn't 'cool'.

Wait, you get reading classes? Your socialism is better.

I don't recall getting confused by a skill, but I probably have. Depending on my mood and how much caffine I've had, I can be a bit slow at times. I think the thing that most confused me for the longest time was tomes - I had only heard of them in passing and had no idea if they worked for secondaries. I've learnt since then, thankfully o_O

Just looking at all this smartasses saying that they never got confused about any skill, makes me laugh.

By the way, the only skill which confused me at the very beginning fo the game was Healing Signet. The description was different from what it is now, but the fact is that I didn't understand if you lost the armor for all the period after the casting or just while casting. Since I just started playing the game I wasn't aware of the game mechanics, but also without knowing them the skill looked a bit wicked to me. Well then I figured out that the malus was applied only while casting

I can honest to god say that I was never confused by any skill in the game. I read each skill I encountered, carefully, and I understood each and every skill just fine.

Before you start calling any of us a "smartass", then I suggest you learn how each and every one of our brains work. My brain was able to comprehend how healing signet worked the first day I used it and it seems that your head was just too full of GoE (or maybe just shit) to function properly.

Saying you were never confused by a skill description is one thing. Saying that everyone else is a moron because they didn't and making fun of the fact is being a smart ass. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=smart%20ass How about YOU learn what people see as someone being an asshole, before you call everyone who has found a description a bit confusing "full of shit".

The irony of someone like you saying honest to God is TRULY amazing.

Shield of Absorption screwed my brain over for a while until I actually read it properly. I didn't realise the 5 damage reduction was cumulative.

loltard.

None of the skill descriptions are confusing. They require simple, 2nd grade reading skills. Obviously, some are just plainly worded incorrectly, and that's another issue, but saying [Contemplation of Purity] or [Smiter's Boon] or [Auspicious Incantation] confused you is just silly.

The original form of [[auspicious incantation] was pretty bad-ass :

Enchantment Spell. For 20 seconds, the next Spell you use is disabled for an additional 30 seconds and you gain Energy equal to 110-182% of that spell's Energy cost. The recharge for Auspicious Incantation is reset, and it has an additional recharge time equal to that Spell's Energy cost.

actually had to read it twice before i got everything the skill did.

I know, but still, there's dictionaries and all that stuff to help me understand. So even though I get help, or read from those books, I'd still feel silly.

everyone who says that they always understood every skill is fine, however some of the skills originally had wrong wording that did not explain what the skill did. and even the people who have said "oh duh i knew it [email protected]" say that they had to read it carefully, so basically it did initially confuse you.

i understood [shame] and [guilt] after carefully reading them, but at first it made no sense. and in the middle of a fight trying to figure out either of those hurts my head. eventually i figured out that the faces are turned opposite directions so thats how i tell them apart now.

I didn't realize SoA was cumulative when it first came out. Other than that I haven't really had any problems with skills (except maybe auspicious incantation).
